“Design for one client and listen, listen, listen” is the simple and most effective design philosophy of Elegant Interiors president, Eric C. Lehmann, CKD. Eric’s thoughtful and creative leadership has built a referral based design firm.

For over 25 years, Eric has been in the Kitchen and Bath Industry, including all aspects of remodeling, drafting, interior design and CAD. In addition to his many years of experience, Eric received his CKD in 1997. He also has a Certification in Lighting A.D.A. as well as Universal Design. Universal Design is space and interior planning for our friends with disabilities and senior citizens.

Eric’s commitment to his chosen profession doesn’t end with his day at Elegant Interiors. Eric C. Lehmann CKD, has served seven years on the Board of Directors of the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), is a member of the NKBA Ambassadors Club, (a true honor!) and a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry).

What is a CKD?

A Certified Kitchen Designer is a professional who is qualified by education and experience to research, design, plan and supervise the installation of residential style kitchens. The CKD has had to prove knowledge, technical understanding, and ability to communicate ideas through a very stringent examination process conducted by the Society of Certified Kitchen Designers, which is the licensing and certification agency of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, before being awarded the CKD designation which does assure the client that the individual is a competent kitchen designer.

Who needs a CKD?

Anyone who is considering a new kitchen needs a CKD. This includes the consumer, the architect, the professional builder, or the interior designer/decorator.

The CKD will not only do all or part of the job for the consumer, but their assistance to architects, interior designers, and builders is invaluable when it comes to technical knowledge, product supply, and the supervision required in the planning and development of today's sophisticated residential kitchens.

The Certified Kitchen Designer deserves your full confidence as certification is based on documented proof of knowledge, ability, and experience in the design of residential kitchens. Furthermore, the CKD adheres to a very strict code of professional conduct.

Isn't this the person you want?
